Real Meditation Makes You Love Good Conduct

In reflective meditation, I have come to love good conduct.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਬਚਨੀ ਏਕੋ ਜਾਤਾ ॥

Through the Word of the True Guru, I recognize the One Lord.

O Nanak, my mind is imbued with the Lord's Name. ||10||7||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

In reflective meditation, I have come to love good conduct;

through the Word of the true Guru, I recognize the One. O Nanak, my mind is imbued with the Name.

Real meditation makes you love good conduct, not merely obey it.
The deeper layer

The close: "reflective meditation" leads to a love of good conduct — right living becomes not a burden but something loved — and through the Word the One is recognized. Meditation and ethics grow together; the imbued mind naturally loves the good.

A Question to Sit With

What is the difference between obeying the good and loving it?
