The Right Response to the One Is Simply Wonder

daykh achraj rahay bismaad.
Beholding the Marvellous Lord, I am wonder-struck and astonished.
ghat ghat sur nar sahj samaaDh.
In each and every heart, of the angels and holy men, He dwells in celestial Samaadhi.
bharipur Dhaar rahay man maahee.
I have enshrined the All-pervading Lord within my mind.

There is no one else equal to You. ||6||

In plain words

Beholding the Marvellous One, I am wonder-struck; in every heart, He dwells in celestial stillness.

I have enshrined the All-pervading One in my mind; there is no one equal to You.

The right response to the One is simply wonder.
The deeper layer

The right answer to the One is simply wonder.

Daykh achraj rahay bismaad — seeing the Marvellous One, I am filled with wonder. Bismaad means awe, that wide-eyed "wow" feeling.

Ghat ghat means in every heart. The One lives in every heart, in sahj samaadh, a deep and peaceful stillness. Think of looking up at a sky full of stars on a clear night. You don't argue with it. You just stand there, amazed. That is how to stand before the One: with love full of wonder.

A Question to Sit With

When has something filled you with sheer wonder?
