Blessed is the coming into this world of one who is destined to abide by the Lord's Command.
Such a person earns the true profit: knowing the Lord's Command itself.
The best life is one lived in step with the One's Command.
The birth worth celebrating is not the one into money or a famous family. It is the birth of someone who learns to live by the Hukam, the One's Command.
Then the verse speaks about profit. laahaa palai paa-ay — such a person gets the true profit. The profit is hukam sinjaanee-ai, recognizing the Command itself.
Think of a surfer. Fighting the wave wears you out. Learning to ride it is the real skill. The money and trophies of this world stay behind when we leave. Knowing the Command is the one earning we carry with us.
