In plain words

Whoever comes as a buyer of the Lord finds Him, and receives the jewel of contemplation.

The doors open deep inside, and with divine sight he beholds the treasury of liberation.

Come as a serious buyer, and what you purchase is new eyes.
The deeper layer

Guru Amar Das says that if you really want the Name, you will find it, and what you get first is new eyes.

He uses the language of the market, which Aasaa often does, and turns it inward. To find the Name, you come as a gaahak, a buyer. Not someone just browsing. Someone serious, money ready, set on the purchase.

What does the serious buyer get first? Not the treasure itself, but the seeing. Dib disat means divine sight, eyes that see the holy. The inner doors swing open.

Why the seeing first? Because the treasury of freedom cannot be carried out of the store. It can only be seen where it is kept. Think of a planetarium. You cannot take the stars home. You go in, look up, and see them.

So the real purchase turns out to be a change of eyes.

A Question to Sit With

What is the difference between being curious about wisdom and actually being in the market for it?
