In plain words

The forsaken brides wander, misled by doubt — speaking what is false, they eat poison.

They never come to know their Beloved — and on the deserted bed, they suffer.

Every lie told is also swallowed — the deceiver dines daily on the poison.
The deeper layer

Every lie you tell, you also swallow.

The sad bride appears again, with a detail worth stopping on. Koorh bol bikh khaahi means telling lies, they eat poison. A lie is not only spoken out loud. It is swallowed too. Every untruth becomes part of the liar's own meals. The one who fools others is the one most fed by the fooling.

Think of cooking something rotten for a guest and then eating it yourself. That is what a lie does.

The pain is found on the "deserted bed," sunjee sayj. It is the deepest place of meeting, left empty. That is not because the Beloved refused to come. It is because a heart feeding on lies has no room left at the table for Truth.

A Question to Sit With

Have you ever told a lie that ended up hurting you more than anyone else?
