In plain words

The One's beautiful feet are like a boat. Hold on, and the boat carries you across the wide and frightening sea.

I met the true Teacher, whole and complete — and my heart filled with real love for the One.

You don't cross the deep water by your own strength — you hold on, and you're carried.
The deeper layer

Charan kamal bohith bhae — the Lotus Feet became a boat. The image gathers a theme running through the whole raag: life as a crossing over deep, dangerous water, and something to hold that carries you over. You don't swim the ocean by strength; you lag — cling, attach — and are ferried. And the second line names how the boat is found: bhetio pooraa satguroo — meeting the Perfect Teacher, and out of that meeting comes saachaa prabh si-o neh, true love for the One. The crossing and the love are the same event.

A Question to Sit With

What do you hold onto when you have to get through something big and scary?
