Here is the one prayer of the loving-hearted: let me never forget You — not for a single breath, not for a single bite of food.
Whatever You want is good with me. However You arrange things, my life comes out right.
Two of the raag's most beautiful lines. First, the only prayer worth praying: visar na saas giraas — may I not forget You for a breath or a mouthful — folding remembrance into the two most constant acts of a living body, breathing and eating. Not remembrance at special times, but woven into every breath. Second, complete trust: jo tudh bhaavai so bhalaa — whatever pleases You is good — and terai bhaanai kaaraj raas, by Your Will my affairs come out right. This is bhaanaa, glad acceptance: not grim resignation but the deep rest of trusting that the arranging hands are kind. (Note: the literal 'May I never forget You' is one place the source uses a negative; the underlying spirit is the positive longing to remember always.)
What would it feel like to trust that things will come out right, even when you can't see how?
