Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
It's simply the One's nature to love those who love it — that's just how it is.
Wherever good hearts gather to celebrate, the One shows up right there, and a shining joy fills the whole place.
The Chhant closes on the raag's most reassuring name for the One: bhagat vachhal — the Lover of His devotees; loving is His natural way (sahaj subhaa-e), not something you have to earn or coax. And where does this loving One appear? Wherever the Saints gather to celebrate — the One is revealed right there, in the shared joy of good company. The image of the ending is light itself: the brilliant flash of the One is revealed... they behold Him in all ten directions — joy so full it lights up every direction at once. To be among glad, good-hearted people is already to be where the One shows up.
Where do you feel a bright, shared joy — the kind that seems to light up the whole room?
