In plain words

The One that good hearts love never dies and never leaves.

The heart whose home the One fills is glad with the One forever.

The One never ends, is forever fresh, and perfectly pure.

The One is never far away. The One is always right here, filling every direction, always.

The One is the Lord of every life, the giver of freedom and wisdom. I love my Beloved's love.

Nanak says what the Guru's words taught him: the One that good hearts love never dies and never leaves.

The most important One never dies, never leaves, and never grows old — always here, always fresh.
The deeper layer

The most important One in your life never dies, never leaves, and never grows old.

Thir santan sohaag marai na jaav-ay — the Beloved of good people is forever. The Beloved does not die or go away. Sohaag means the happy bond of a bride with her beloved. Here it pictures the soul's bond with the One.

Sadaa navtan nirmalaa — the One is always new and perfectly pure. Nothing about the One gets old or stale.

Almost everything we love changes or fades someday. Toys break. Phones get old. But here is a love that is always fresh and always near. Nah door sadaa hadoor — not far away, always right here, filling all ten directions, every way you could turn. The One is here now, and will still be here.

A Question to Sit With

What does it feel like to imagine a love that will never leave and never fade?
