I asked my friends, 'Tell me, what is my Beloved like?' But I was so full of love I couldn't find words.
The wonder of the One is deeper than any book could hold. So I just love, and I sing His praise all the time.
I am full of good things, and my Lord is glad with me. Nanak prays: I am dyed in His love, and I quietly melt into Him.
This one says that when words fail, love is the only language big enough.
It is a sweet, human moment. The soul asks her friends: mil sakhee-aa puchheh kaho kant neesaanee — tell me, what are the signs of my Beloved? But she is so full of love that she cannot speak: ras paraym bharee kachh bol na jaanee.
Why? Gun goorh gupat apaar kartay nigam ant na paavhay — the Creator's good qualities are deep, hidden, and endless, and even the Vedas cannot find their end. The Vedas are ancient books of wisdom. Even the greatest books run out before the wonder does.
So the answer is not more talking. It is loving devotion and singing. At last the soul melts into the One, sahj samaanee, so gently you cannot mark the moment. Think of trying to describe your favorite song to someone. In the end, you just play it for them.
Have you ever loved something so much you couldn't find the words for it?
