Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
All the beautiful music of existence, and everything that flows from it, gives the purest sweetness.
Says Nanak, all of it is the One's own treasure.
If only we truly understood that.
Everything good already belongs to the One, and is freely shared with us.
The verse speaks of "divine crystalline harmonies," the beautiful music of all that exists, and all that comes from it. From them comes amrit, the sweetest nectar. And all of it is the Creator's own wealth.
The last line is a sigh, not a scolding: "If only this essential reality were understood!" Think of a fridge already full of food while someone stands there saying they are hungry. Everything needed is already here, already the One's treasure. The only thing missing is that we notice it.
What good thing is already right in front of you that you might be failing to recognize?
