In plain words

However many mistakes a child makes,

their mother doesn't hold a single one against them in her heart.

A mother's love isn't a scorecard — she keeps loving through all the mistakes, without holding a grudge.
The deeper layer

The One loves us the way a mother loves her child, past every mistake.

Kabir begins with a picture every child knows. Sut apraadh karat hai jaytay — however many mistakes a son makes, jannee cheet na raakhas taytay — his mother does not hold them against him in her heart.

A mother's love is not a scoreboard. She does not count every slip or keep a list. Think of spilling juice, forgetting homework, and saying something grumpy, all in one day. At bedtime, she still tucks you in. Kabir is about to use this love as his picture of how the One loves us. If a mother forgives so fully, the One forgives even more. You are loved past every mistake.

A Question to Sit With

Who loves you in a way that doesn't keep count of your mistakes?
