By the affair of this marriage, truth, contentment, mercy and faith are produced; but how rare is that Gurmukh who understands it! ||3||

In plain words

He arranges everything Himself. No one else can arrange His affairs for Him.

Out of this wedding come truth, contentment, mercy, and trust. But how rare is the one who turns to the Guru and really understands it!

Real union with the One quietly grows truth, contentment, mercy, and trust in you.
The deeper layer

This one says real union with the One bears fruit: truth, contentment, mercy, and faith.

Aapnaa kaaraj aap savaaray — the One arranges His own affairs. Horan kaaraj na ho-ee — no one else can do it for Him.

Jit kaaraj sat santokh da-i-aa Dharam hai — from this wedding come sat (truth), santokh (contentment), da-i-aa (mercy), and Dharam (faith and right living). Being joined with the One grows these good qualities on its own. You do not have to build each one separately. Think of a healthy tree. You do not glue apples on. They grow.

And an honest note: gurmukh boojhai ko-ee — only a rare gurmukh, one who faces the Guru, understands this. The truth is free for everyone, yet few notice it.

A Question to Sit With

Which good qualities seem to grow in you naturally when you feel connected, without you forcing them?
