Between You and me, there's no one and nothing else in the way.
You are my Beloved, and I am wholly Yours.
This one is about how nothing really stands between you and the One.
Ham tum beech bha-i-o nahee ko-ee — between You and me, there is no one else. No distance, no wall, nothing in the way.
Tumeh so kant naar ham so-ee — You are the Husband, and I am the bride. In Gurbani, the soul is often pictured as a bride and the One as the beloved husband. It is a picture of two who belong to each other completely.
In the earlier verses, Kabir ached because he felt far away. Here is the deep truth under that ache. There is no real gap. The closeness is total, even when we don't always feel it.
Think of the sun on a cloudy day. You can't see it, but it hasn't gone anywhere. However far the One may seem, nothing actually stands between you and the One who loves you. You belong to each other, completely.
