Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
In the home I am traveling toward, I will come to know what is real,
and taste the deep peace of my Beloved.
What you begin to value here is what ripens into deep peace later.
The in-laws' house — the home the bride is moving toward — is the life beyond, where "I shall realize Truth" and know "the celestial peace." The two-homes frame maps this life and the next; what is begun here, in the father's house, ripens there. But the ripening is rooted in the seriousness she finds now.
A Question to Sit With
How might taking something seriously now change how it turns out later?
