In plain words

No one knows the secret of the great Weaver.

The Weaver has woven the whole wide world like one great piece of cloth.

The whole world is like one great cloth woven by a divine Weaver — the sacred can be glimpsed in the most ordinary things.
The deeper layer

Kabir says the whole world is a cloth, and the One is the Weaver who made it.

Kabir was a weaver. He worked thread on a loom all day. Here he turns his own work into a picture of the One, the Weaver of everything. Sabh jag aan tanaa-i-o taanaa — the Weaver has stretched out the whole world like cloth. Imagine the entire universe as one huge, beautiful piece of fabric, still being woven.

This is the Rahao, the "pause" line. It is the center of the whole shabad. And Kabir starts it humbly. Koree ko kaahoo maram na jaanaa — no one knows the secret of this Weaver. How the weaving is done is beyond us.

Kabir found this truth at his everyday work. He looked at his loom and saw the whole world being woven. So ordinary things can open a window onto wonder. Even a piece of cloth can show us how everything is made.

A Question to Sit With

What everyday thing could you look at until it becomes a window onto something wonderful?
