Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
So chant the Name, O my friends and companions.
Without the Name there is nothing else for me. By great good fortune, turned toward the Guru, I have received the Lord's Name.
When you've found the one thing that matters, everything else falls into proportion.
The Pause is an invitation to friends — "chant the Naam, O my friends." The starkness of "without the Name, there is nothing else for me" is not deprivation but focus: when you have found the one thing, everything else falls into proportion. And receiving it was "great good fortune" — grace, not merit.
A Question to Sit With
What is something so central to you that, with it, you would feel you had enough?
