Real Honor Isn't Granted by the Crowd

The Saints are good, who are pleasing to Your Will; their honor is approved by You. ||3||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The Infinite One is the Creator; the One speaks, and makes us speak.

The Saints are good who are pleasing to Your Will; their honor is approved by You.

Real honor isn't granted by the crowd — it's approved by the One.
The deeper layer

Divine agency reaches even our speech: "the Lord Himself speaks, and causes us to speak." And the measure of the Saints is not their reputation but being "pleasing to Your Will" — their honor is "approved by You," not granted by the crowd (cf. Shabad 25, Shabad 46). True greatness is conferred from within, by the One.

A Question to Sit With

Whose approval do you most seek — and whose should you?
