Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Listen, everyone: I have tasted the elixir of love.

The harmful things in me are dead, my inner enemies destroyed — the true Guru has given me the Name.

Taste something truly good, and the harmful pulls in you start to die on their own.
The deeper layer

The Pause announces the turning point: "I have tasted the elixir of love" (the Har Ras). Once the Name is received, the "evil ones" and "enemies" — the inner passions — simply die. The victory is not won by fighting them but by tasting something better that outgrows them.

A Question to Sit With

What good thing, once you found it, made a bad habit lose its appeal?
