Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
Listen, my friends — my Beloved has made me His own.
Laying His hand on my forehead, He keeps me as His own. What do those who don't know Him understand of this?
Being claimed and protected by the One is a joy that those outside it simply can't see.
The Pause is the joy of belonging: "my Husband possesses me," with His hand on the forehead — the gesture of blessing and protection. And a gentle note that this joy is opaque from outside: "what do these ignorant people know?" The experience of being claimed by the One cannot be grasped by those who have not tasted it.
A Question to Sit With
Have you ever had a happiness that was hard to explain to anyone who hadn't felt it?
