O Nanak, this body is the tree which bears the fruit of the Lord's Name. ||4||3||15||
Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
When the mind is in spring, the body and the mind turn fresh and green.
Nanak says: this body is a tree, and it bears the fruit of the Naam of the One.
Your body is a tree that can grow the fruit of the Name.
Your body is a tree that can bear the fruit of the Naam.
Tan man hari-aa: body and mind made green. Ih tan birakh: this body is a tree. Raam naam fal: the fruit of the Naam. The closing picture ties body, mind, and spring together. Compare the fruitful-tree image opening Shabad 18.
