He is attached to the Lord, the Primal Root of all, when he finds the True Guru. ||3||
Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
Flowers and fruit appear on a life when the One makes them grow.
When you find the True Guru, you are joined to the Root of everything.
Flower and fruit each come in their own good time.
Flowers and fruit come when the One brings them, and the Guru joins you to the Root.
Fal fool laagay jaan aapay laa-ay: flowers and fruit appear when the One sets them there. Growth comes in the flow of life, in its own time. Mool lagai taan satgur paa-ay: you hold on to the mool, the Root, when you find the True Guru. Mool is also the first word of the Mool Mantar: the source of all. A plant with deep roots stays green through dry weather.
