I am unworthy; I know none of Your Virtues at all. ||1||
Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
You are the Great Giver, and You keep on giving.
You fill my soul and my every breath.
You have given me every kind of food to eat.
I have nothing good to show, and I don't know even one of Your wonderful qualities.
So much is given so freely that we forget to notice it.
The One keeps giving: your breath, your life and every meal on your plate.
tum bad daatay day rahay — the Giver keeps giving, filling jeea praan (soul and breath) and every meal. Saying "I know none of Your virtues" is honest humility.
A Question to Sit With
What is something given to you every single day that you rarely stop to thank anyone for?
