samrath su-aamee kaaran karan.
Our All-powerful Lord and Master is the Doer of all, the Cause of all causes.
ਮੋਹਿ ਅਨਾਥ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਣ ॥
mohi anaath parabh tayree saran.
I am an orphan - I seek Your Sanctuary, God.
ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਤੇਰੇ ਆਧਾਰਿ ॥
jee-a jant tayray aaDhaar.
All beings and creatures take Your Support.
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਲੇਹਿ ਨਿਸਤਾਰਿ ॥੨॥
kar kirpaa parabh layhi nistaar. ||2||

I am like a child with no one of my own; O One, I come to Your shelter.
All beings and creatures lean on You.
Be kind, O One, and carry me across.
When you feel you have no one, there is still a shelter open.
The all-powerful One is behind everything, and every creature leans on the One for shelter.
samrath suaamee kaaran karan — the almighty Doer, cause of all. mohi anaath (I have no one else) — a child running home to shelter.
