ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਦਾਸ ਰਖੇ ਕਰਿ ਜਤਨੁ ਆਪਿ ॥
parabh daas rakhay kar jatan aap.
By His own efforts, God protects His slave.
ਅਖੰਡ ਪੂਰਨ ਜਾ ਕੋ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪੁ ॥
akhand pooran jaa ko partaap.
God's Glory is perfect and unbroken.
ਗੁਣ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਨਿਤ ਰਸਨ ਗਾਇ ॥
gun gobind nit rasan gaa-ay.
So sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the Universe with your tongue forever.
ਨਾਨਕੁ ਜੀਵੈ ਹਰਿ ਚਰਣ ਧਿਆਇ ॥੪॥੧੨॥
naanak jeevai har charan Dhi-aa-ay. ||4||12||
Nanak lives by meditating on the Feet of the Lord. ||4||12||

The One makes the effort to protect the One's servant.
The One's glory is perfect and unbroken.
So sing the praises of the Lord of the World with your tongue, every day.
Nanak says: I live by meditating on the One's feet.
A love that never cracks is worth singing about.
The One's glory is whole and unbroken, and the One works to protect you.
