Verse 7 of 9

Hearts That Love the One

ਜਿਨ ਕੈ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਏਕੋ ਭਾਇਆ ॥
jin kai hirdai ayko bhaa-i-aa.
Those who love the One Lord with all their heart
ਆਪੇ ਮੇਲੇ ਭਰਮੁ ਚੁਕਾਇਆ ॥੬॥
aapay maylay bharam chukaa-i-aa. ||6||
- He dispels their doubts and unites them with Himself. ||6||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Some hearts love the One alone.

The One draws them close, and clears away their doubt.

Love the One with your whole heart, and the One draws you close.
The deeper layer

Love the One with your whole heart, and the One draws you close and clears your doubt.

Jin kai hirdai eko bhaaiaa — those who love the One in their heart. Aape mele bharam chukaaiaa: the One itself dispels their doubt and unites them — revealing a closeness that was always there.

A Question to Sit With

When you love something wholeheartedly, how close does it start to feel?
