Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
Namdev says: I do not even know how to swim.
Give me Your arm, give me Your arm, O Beethula, my Beloved.
Sometimes the bravest thing is to say I cannot do this, and reach out your hand.
When you cannot swim, you reach for a strong arm and hold on.
Naamaa kahai ha-o tar bhee na jaan-o: Namdev says, I do not even know how to swim. Baah deh baah deh: give me Your arm, give me Your arm. The words come twice, like a heartbeat, full of trust.
