This longer five-stanza shabad opens the second house (ghar 2). It names the sickness of duality and craving, prays for understanding as the only cure (rahau), notes that reading sacred texts is not yet realization, tells of grace that lifts one to the treasure and peace of the Name, of the fourth state where the self-conceit melts, and closes by serving the One who made Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva and who never dies and is never born.
