Millions of Righteous Judges of Dharma are His gate-keepers. ||2||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Millions of moons twinkle in the sky for the One.

Three hundred thirty million gods eat from the One's offerings.

The nine planets, millions of times over, stand at the One's door.

Millions of judges of what is right are the One's gatekeepers.

Everything that keeps the world in order is quietly serving one Source.
The deeper layer

Every light and every guardian stands waiting at the One's door.

The list keeps rolling. "kot chandarmay karahi charaak" — millions of moons shine as lamps. The sur are the many kinds of gods, said to number three hundred thirty million. They all share in what the One provides. The nav garah are the nine planets of the old sky-maps. They stand at the One's door.

The last line names Dharam, the judges who keep things fair. Here they are the One's gatekeepers. Picture a huge palace where even the guards are kings. Everything great serves the One.

A Question to Sit With

Who are the people who quietly keep watch and keep things fair in your world?
