I, Namdev, will keep on singing the praises of the One."

Steady love holds even if the world turns upside down.
Gang jamun ja-o ultee bahai: if the Ganges and the Jamuna flowed backward, uphill toward their mountain springs. Ta-o naamaa har kartaa rahai: still Namdev would keep on remembering the One. Rivers running backward is a picture of the impossible. Namdev's song is steadier than the rivers, and it does not wait for things to turn out well.
