The One Lord is permeating and pervading amongst all; without the Guru, this understanding is not obtained.

My Lord God has been revealed to me, and I have become Gurmukh. Night and day, I sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. ||2||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The One is present in everyone, but without the Guru, this understanding does not come.

Facing the Guru, I see my Lord shown plainly to me. Night and day, I sing the praises of the One.

One Light shines through everyone; the Guru helps you see it.
The deeper layer

The One is present in everyone, and the Guru helps you see it.

Sabh meh ayko rav rahi-aa: one and the same One fills everyone, like one sky above every city. Gur bin boojh na paa-ay: without the Guru, this understanding does not come. Gurmukh pargat ho-aa: for the one facing the Guru, the One becomes plain to see. An-din har gun gaa-ay: night and day, singing the One's praises.

A Question to Sit With

When have you seen the same goodness show up in very different people?
