Whoever listens to the Guru's Teachings - that humble being receives countless comforts and pleasures from the Lord. ||2||

In plain words

O Sikhs of the Guru, say the One's Name and sing the One's praises. Take the Guru's teaching and keep the One in mind.

Whoever listens to the Guru's teaching receives comfort upon comfort from the One.

Listen to the teaching with your whole self, and comfort comes upon comfort.
The deeper layer

Say the Naam, sing the One's praise, and listen to the Guru's teaching, and comfort comes upon comfort.

A Gursikh is a student of the Guru. The Guru tells them three things. Say the One's Name. Sing the One's praise. Take the gurmat, the Guru's teaching, and keep the One in mind.

Then comes the promise. Whoever listens to the Guru's teaching gets sukh ghanay, comfort upon comfort. Listening is a big deal in Gurbani. Japji Sahib has whole verses about it. Think of a friend who listens to you all the way, without checking their phone. You feel it right away. Listening to the Guru's words is like that, and the comfort keeps coming.

A Question to Sit With

What piece of wisdom has comforted you more than once?
