In plain words

My Father has shown Himself inside me. Father and son have joined together as partners.

Nanak says: when my Father is pleased, Father and son are dyed in one love, and they become one.

Closeness can be so deep that the line between two nearly disappears.
The deeper layer

The One and the one who loves the One grow so close, they are like one.

Pitaa hamaaray pargatay maajh — my Father has shown Himself inside me. The One is not far away. The One is right within.

Then father and son join as partners. Pitaa poot aikai rang leenay — father and son are colored in one color. Rang means color, and also love. Think of mixing two paints until you cannot tell where one ends and the other begins. The line between the two nearly disappears.

This is Ik Oankaar, the One, told as a family coming back together.

A Question to Sit With

Who do you feel so close to that you barely feel separate?
