Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The One's Naam is the highest of all.

Sing the One's praises, forever and ever.

Remembering the One, all pain goes away.

Every kind of happiness comes to live in the mind.

What you hold highest in mind shapes how you feel.
The deeper layer

The One's Naam is the highest of all, and remembering the One clears pain away.

Sabh tay oochaa jaa kaa naa-o: the Naam above every other. Sadaa sadaa: forever and ever. Simrat: remembering. Saglaa dukh jaa-ay: all pain goes. Sarab sookh vaseh man aa-ay: every kind of happiness comes to live in the mind.

A Question to Sit With
