One who becomes Gurmukh and praises the True Shabad with the True Lord in his mind is cured of his disease.

O Nanak, the humble servant of the Lord is immaculate, night and day; he bears the insignia of the Lord's Grace. ||9||1||

In plain words

The one who turns to the Guru praises the True Word, with the True One in mind, and that person's sickness is gone.

Nanak says: the One's humble servants are spotless, day and night; they carry the mark of the One's grace.

The cure for feeling separate is remembering the One, gently, every day.
The deeper layer

Praise the True Word with the True One in mind, and the sickness of ego leaves.

Gurmukh saachaa sabad salaahai — the gurmukh, a person who turns toward the Guru, praises the true word. Man saachaa tis rog ga-i-aa — the True One lives in their mind, and the sickness leaves.

Naanak har jan an-din nirmal — O Nanak, the One's people stay nirmal, clean and clear, day and night. Jin ka-o karam neesaan pa-i-aa — they carry the neesaan, the mark, of karam, grace. It is not a medal they won. It is like a family name, given because you belong.

The shabad found sickness in the seas, the lands, and the whole world. It ends with one quiet cure that is open to anyone.

A Question to Sit With

What is one small thing you could return to each day to keep your heart feeling clear?
