Devotion Shows in Your Hands and Feet

tay naytar bhalay parvaan heh mayree jindurhee-ay jo saaDhoo satgur daykheh raam.
Blessed and approved are those eyes, O my soul, which gaze upon the Holy True Guru.
tay hasat puneet pavitar heh mayree jindurhee-ay jo har jas har har laykheh raam.
Sacred and sanctified are those hands, O my soul, which write the Praises of the Lord, Har, Har.
I worship continually the feet of that humble being, O my soul, who walks on the Path of Dharma - the path of righteousness.
naanak tin vitahu vaari-aa mayree jindurhee-ay har sun har naam manayseh raam. ||3||
Nanak is a sacrifice to those, O my soul, who hear of the Lord, and believe in the Lord's Name. ||3||

In plain words

Lucky are the eyes that look upon good and holy things.

Lucky are the hands that write and make and do what is beautiful.

I look up to anyone who quietly walks the path of doing right.

I'm grateful for people who really listen, and trust what is good.

Devotion isn't only a feeling inside — it shows in what your hands make and where your feet carry you.
The deeper layer

The body-blessing continues: eyes that behold the holy, hands that write the Praises, and the feet of one who "walks the Path of Dharam" — the path of righteousness, doing-what-is-right. Guru Ram Das gathers the senses one by one and shows each its highest use. Notice the movement outward into action: hands that make and do, feet that walk a good road. Devotion in Sikhism is never only inward feeling; it shows up in what your hands make and where your feet carry you. The verse honors the ordinary person of integrity — the one who simply "walks the path of righteousness" — as worthy of reverence.

A Question to Sit With

What good thing could your hands make or do this week?
