Says Nanak, I place my faith in my Lord and Master; within my mind, I do not believe in any other, even for an instant. ||2||11||97||

In plain words

I would give anything for the sight of the holy ones. By their kindness, my heart holds on to the Naam.

Nanak says: I rest my whole trust in my Master. My mind leans on no one else, not even for a second.

A steady heart is one that has stopped shopping for something better.
The deeper layer

The sight of holy people turns the heart to the Naam, and trust rests in the One alone.

Bal jaava-o darsan saadhoo kai means "I would give myself for the sight of the holy." Jih parsaad har naam leenaa means by their kindness, I hold on to the Name. Naam means the living presence of the One.

Kaho naanak thaakur bharosai means Nanak says: I trust in my Master. Bharosaa means trust, the kind you lean your whole weight on.

Kahoo na maani-o man chheenaa means "my mind does not trust any other, even for an instant." Think of a phone with a hundred apps all buzzing for your attention. Guru Arjan turns off the noise and keeps one steady connection. His trust is not scattered. It rests in one place.
