I have obtained the boat of God's Feet, to carry me across the terrifying world-ocean.

The Saints, servants and devotees belong to the Lord; Nanak's mind is attached to Him. ||2||14||100||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

I have found the boat — the gentle feet of the One — and it carries me clear across the wide, rough waters.

The saints, the servants and the devotees all belong to the One. Nanak says: my heart has fastened itself right there.

The thing that carries you across is closer and humbler than you think.
The deeper layer

charan prabhoo kay bohith paa-ay — the feet as boat, bhav saagar the ocean of existence crossed. sant sayvak bhagat har taa kay — the saints and devotees belong to the One; naanak man laagaa hai taahee — the heart fastened there.

A Question to Sit With

What has carried you through something that felt too big to cross alone?
