ਨਿਰਭਉ ਹੋਇ ਭਜਹੁ ਜਗਦੀਸੈ ਏਹੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਵਡਭਾਗਿ ਲਹੇ ॥
nirbha-o ho-ay bhajahu jagdeesai ayhu padaarath vadbhaag lahay.
So become fearless, and vibrate upon the Lord of the Universe. This is true wealth, obtained only by great good fortune.
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਪੂਰਨ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦਾਤੇ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਜਸੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਕਹੇ ॥੨॥੧੭॥੧੦੩॥
kar kirpaa pooran parabh daatay nirmal jas naanak daas kahay. ||2||17||103||
Be merciful, O Perfect God, Great Giver, that slave Nanak may chant Your immaculate Praises. ||2||17||103||

So become fearless, and remember the Lord of the whole world — this treasure comes by great good fortune.
Nanak says: be kind, perfect Giver, so that Your servant can sing Your clean, bright praise.
Courage grows out of remembering you are held.
nirbha-o ho-ay bhajahu jagdeesai — being fearless while remembering, echoing the nirbhau of the Mool Mantar. ayhu padaarath vadbhaag lahay — this wealth found by good fortune, received. kar kirpaa... nirmal jas — mercy asked so that clean praise can arise; grace comes first, and the praise follows.
