In plain words

The One kept me safe from Sulhi.

Sulhi's hand could not reach me anywhere, and his plotting ended in shame.

Harm aimed at the innocent has a way of collapsing before it lands.
The deeper layer

The One shields the innocent from harm. A hostile figure, named Sulhi in the tradition, plotted against Guru Arjan and the Guru's people, and the plot collapsed. sulhee kaa haath kahee na pahuchai — the harmful reach never arrived. Ill-will came undone, and the answer is thanks.

A Question to Sit With

Have you ever seen something unfair fall apart before it could do damage?
