Setting Down the Weight

taj abhimaan ar chint biraanee saaDhah saran pa-ay.
Renouncing egotistical pride and other anxieties, I have sought the Sanctuary of the Holy Saints.
jap jap naam tumHaaro pareetam tan tay rog kha-ay. ||1||
Chanting, meditating on Your Name, O my Beloved, disease is eradicated from my body. ||1||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Letting go of pride and all my worrying, I came to the shelter of holy people.

Saying Your Name again and again, the sickness lifts right out of me.

Setting down pride and worry can feel like putting down a heavy backpack.
The deeper layer

taj abhimaan ar chint biraanee -- setting down pride and needless worry. saadhah saran -- the shelter of holy people. tan tay rog khaay -- the illness leaving the body -- the Name pictured as healing, remembrance framed always as medicine, never as empty repeating.

A Question to Sit With

What is one worry you could set down, even just for today?
