O God, O Creator, Lord and Master of servant Nanak, as You wish, so do I speak. ||4||5||

In plain words

Even my wisdom, and the good sense to use it well, rests in Your hands, my One. I am the instrument; You are the one who plays.

Nanak says: O Maker, my One, whatever pleases You, that is how I am moved to speak.

Even your wisdom is the One's music — you are the instrument, gladly played.
The deeper layer

We are like a musical instrument, and the One is the player.

Ham jant too purakh jantainee — I am the instrument, You are the one who plays it. This closes the shabad.

It echoes the violin picture used by Guru Ram Das, the Fourth Guru, at the start of his shabads in this raag. Even our wisdom, and the good sense to use it well, is the One's music moving through us.

Think of a guitar resting on a stand. It is silent until someone picks it up. Letting the One play you is not losing. It is trust, the way a guitar makes its best sound in skilled hands.

A Question to Sit With

What feels best: when you force something, or when you let a good thing flow through you?
