The fifteen phases of the moon, the seven days of the week, the months and the seasons -- they all keep coming around again and again, turning and turning. That is just how the world moves.
All that coming-and-going was set spinning by the One -- and the One itself does not spin. It stays perfectly steady at the center of all the turning, holding everything by its own quiet power.
So do not look for the magic in the days themselves. Look for the steady One underneath them, and keep it in your heart. Nanak says: whoever turns to the Guru and reflects on the Word comes to understand this.
The closing pauri -- and the whole point stated outright. pandreh thitee, sat vaar, maahaa rutee -- the fifteen lunar days, seven weekdays, months and seasons all aavahi vaar vaar -- wheel around and around. But nihchal saach rahi-aa -- the steady True One stays motionless at the center of all the turning. This is precisely the Baarah Maaha epilogue's move (it is grace, not the calendar) and the Gauree Thittee's: no day is holy in itself; the sacred is the unchanging One and the heart that turns to it.
What stays steady for you no matter how much everything else changes?
