Whatever the perfect Guru says, the One hears.
That truth spreads through the whole world and rises from every mouth.
The greatnesses of the One are so many they can never be counted.
Truth, ease, and joy rest with the Guru, who hands you the jewel of Truth.
Nanak says: the One polishes the saints until they shine like the True One.
The twelfth numbered Pauri (Guru Ram Das). Jo bolay pooraa satguroo so parmaysar suni-aa -- what the perfect Guru speaks, the One hears -- the Guru's word and the One's will are in full accord. Ghat ghat mukh bhania-i -- it sounds "from every mouth," in every heart. The closing image is a favourite in Gurbani: sant savaaray... sachay ji-o -- the One polishes the loving until they become "like the True One," a mirror cleaned until it shines.
