Every real greatness is held inside the Name -- so keep the One in mind.
Whatever you ask for, you find it when your attention rests on the Naam.
Tell the quiet secret of your heart to the Guru, and a deep peace opens up.
When the Perfect Guru gives the teaching, the aching hunger inside finally settles.
The one whose heart is ready sings the praise with their whole being.
The third numbered Pauri (Guru Ram Das). Its tenderest line is guhaj gal jee-a kee keechai satguroo paas -- "tell the hidden matter of your soul to the True Guru." This is the Vaar giving a child permission to bring the private, secret ache to a trusted source and be met there. Sabh bhukh leh jaa-ee-ai (all hunger departs) is the reward -- not a full belly but a settled heart. Jis poorab hovai likhi-aa is destiny, read here as readiness rather than fate that shuts anyone out.
Is there a secret worry you have never said out loud? Who would be safe to tell?
