ਸੋ ਬਉਰਾ ਜੋ ਆਪੁ ਨ ਪਛਾਨੈ ॥
so ba-uraa jo aap na pachhaanai.
He alone is insane, who does not understand himself.
ਆਪੁ ਪਛਾਨੈ ਤ ਏਕੈ ਜਾਨੈ ॥੪॥
aap pachhaanai ta aikai jaanai. ||4||
When he understands himself, then he knows the One Lord. ||4||

The one who is lost is the person who has never met their own self.
Get to know who you are, deep down, and you find the One right there. They are not two different discoveries.
To know yourself is to find the One.
so bauraa jo aap na pachhaanai — self-knowledge is the hinge. aap pachhaanai ta aikai jaanai — knowing the self is knowing the One (all is one). The playful "madness" resolves into a serious teaching.
