Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The doubt of birth and death is gone; with love, I keep my attention on the One.

While I am alive, I rest in the deep quiet inside. The Guru's teaching has woken me up.

You can wake up to a deep quiet while fully alive.
The deeper layer

janam maran kaa bharam ga-i-aa — the illusion of birth-and-death dissolves (the fear of it, not death itself). jeevat sunn samaani-aa — absorbed, while living, in sunn (the deep silence). gur saakhee jaagee — awakened by the Guru's teaching. This is liberation in this life.

A Question to Sit With

What is a moment when everything felt calm and clear inside you?
