Peace Wherever You Go

Then wherever he goes, he will find peace, and Maya will not shake him.
kahi kabeer mayraa man maani-aa raam pareet kee-o lai dayv. ||2||12||
Says Kabir, my mind believes in the Lord; I am absorbed in the Love of the Divine Lord. ||2||12||

In plain words

Someone like that carries peace with them — wherever they go, they find it, and the world's ups and downs cannot knock them over.

Kabir says, my mind has come to rest in the One; I am soaked in the love of the One, and that is enough.

When peace lives inside you, you carry it wherever you go.
The deeper layer

jah uho jaa-ay tahee sukh paavai — peace travels with the aligned soul. maa-i-aa taas na jholai — Maya cannot shake them. mayraa man maani-aa — the mind maanai, comes into alignment (not "believes"). The fruit of the whole shabad: portable, unshakeable peace.

A Question to Sit With

What is a calm feeling you would love to be able to carry with you anywhere?
