O slave Nanak, all pains are relieved. ||4||9||14||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

In the Sangat, the One shows itself plainly.

Nanak says: for the One's servant, every pain runs away.

The One shows itself most plainly in the Sangat.
The deeper layer

The One shows itself plainly where people gather in love.

Saadhsang pargatay naaraa-in — in the Sangat, the One becomes plain to see. The Sangat — people gathered together to remember the One. Naanak daas sabh dookh palaa-in — Nanak, the servant, finds every pain gone. The One made visible, and the aches scattered, together in the Sangat.

A Question to Sit With

Have you ever felt something bigger than yourself most clearly when you were with the right group of people?
