In the Society of the Saints, Nanak has found God. ||4||11||16||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

By great good fortune, I sing the kirtan, the praises of God.

Nanak says: in the Sangat, God is found.

The fog lifts in song and in the Sangat — that is where the One turns out to be, right in the middle of the music.
The deeper layer

The fog lifts in song, and the One is found right in the middle of the music.

Vadai bhaag prabh keertan gaa-i-aa — by great fortune, one sings the kirtan, the shared song of praise. Satsang naanak prabh paa-i-aa — in the Sangat, the One is found. The Sangat — people gathered together to remember the One. The shabad that began in forgetting resolves in joy: the fog lifts in song and in the Sangat, and the One turns out to have been near all along.

A Question to Sit With

Have you ever felt lifted just by singing together with other people? What happened inside you?
